Description:
Take to the skies in one of the most iconic aircraft in history, the Boeing B-17 "Flying Fortress"! This is perhaps the most easily recognisable aircraft from World War II - a formidable and well defended daylight heavy bomber. Once again Freewing have done an excellent job bringing this beautiful aircraft to RC enthusiasts everywhere. The best part of this warbird is its sheer size - a full 1.6m across the wings gives this B-17 an amazing presence in the air. The four 3-blade props sound great in the air and the split flaps allow for short takeoffs and nice slow landings.

Freewing have lifted the bar again the landing gear on this aircraft. As you can see in the photos the gear are powered by worm drive servoless retracts and strengthened with a locking bar. The huge main wheels allow this B-17 to easily take off and land on rough grass and the 3-blade props give significant ground clearance.

The gun turrets have all been meticulously re-created and the overall paint scheme looks fantastic! Freewing have even made the wings removable for easy transport! Grab yourself one of these heavy bombers and perhaps a mini warbird and fly an escort formation with your new B-17 today!

Our courier allows us to place "Fragile" and "Top Load Only" markings on the kit boxes we send with them, so double boxing is usually enough protection for your expensive model.
