Description:
This Piper J-5 Cub Cruiser has been faithfully reproduced in RC size by the great people at Freewing. The Piper J-5 Cub Cruiser is the bigger brother of the popular Piper J-3 Cub with seating for 3 instead of 2 and a bigger engine. This J-5 is an excellent trainer especially if your flying field is a bit too small to fly our larger trainer aircraft in comfortably. Don't let the small size fool you the J-5 Cub Cruiser is a fantastic trainer with full aileron, rudder and elevator control and is incredibly easy to fly. The high wings and large flight control surfaces give very stable and predictable flight while the bright yellow scale paint scheme allows the pilot to easily maintain visual contact with the aircraft.

3ch and 4ch flight
3 channel or 4 channel trainer? The choice is yours! The Cub comes with fixed ailerons out of the box so you can learn to fly with only rudder and elevator. When building just follow the instructions for 3ch build, which gives the main wing significant dihedral for aileron-less flight. Once you have mastered 3ch flight, simply follow the instructions in the manual to change to 4ch - cut the ailerons free, attach the push rods and re-set the under-wing frames for 4ch flight. Takeoffs and landings are straight forward - for landings just throttle back and it virtually lands itself. For takeoff just advance the throttle and you'll be treated to a perfect scale takeoff. The Cub is cable of most mid aerobatics like loops, stall turns and aileron rolls and is very quiet when airborne due to the electric power system.

This is a great kit if you're looking at getting into RC flying. Everything you need is included so you can just charge the battery and go. The included accessories like the radio gear and charger allow you to get into RC flying for one low price and see if its something that you want to invest in! Foam is also very easy to repair and we have access to the complete range of replacement parts for this kit.

Please note that all aircraft kits are now double boxed for shipping and the cost of double boxing is now included in the shipping cost. Our courier allows us to place "Fragile" and "Top Load Only" markings on the kit boxes we send with them, so double boxing is usually enough protection for your expensive model. We do offer insurance and a re-delivery (courier will attempt re-delivery of package instead of leaving it) service if you like so please send us an email before placing your order if you wish to have these services.

• 2 part epoxy or foam safe CA glue with accelerator (we recommend that you use these glues if the kit does not include epoxy)
